How To Learn To Believe In Yourself
In their series “Taking the Leap: How To Learn To Believe In Yourself”, Authority Magazine asked me for advice. When you want to achieve great things, it is imperative to believe in yourself. Self doubt is a dream killer.
Why is it important to believe in yourself?
Let me ask you the following question: when you doubt you can do something, do you think you will succeed in executing that. Will you give it all you have when you doubt you will reach the finish line? Most people don’t even start when they doubt they will succeed. In my opinion, you need at least a bit of self belief to get started. The more you believe in yourself, the more committed you are to cross the finish line of whatever you started, the more motivated you are to proceed.
I know that I believe in myelf, in my capabilities. That doesn’t mean I’m overly confident. I do know my current limitations. Yet that doesn’t mean that I train myself to expand my limitations. Thinking about it, for me it is even stronger than believing in myself, it is a “knowing”. My favourite quotecomes from Napoleon Hill, best-selling author of “Think and Grow Rich”:
Whatever the Mind can Conceive and Believe, it can Achieve
As an entrepreneur, I have a vision, I have set certain goals for myself. For me, it’s not a matter of “if”, it’s “when” I will have achieved my goals. That’s how strong I believe in myself and my capabilities. Do I sometimes doubt myself? Of course, I’m only human. Yet I don’t let it control my life. When things don’t go as planned, I analyze the situation, learn from it and adjust my course.
What are my five tips to learn to believe in yourself
Below are my five ways to improve your self belief:

- Celebrate small wins
